Green Career Information Panels:
Our Green Economy: How Work is Green and Getting Greener - Panels will feature panelists from different industries, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, green construction, green real estate, recycling, green home consulting, green manufacturing, green IT, biomass energy production, and other areas.
Workshops:
Home Energy Savings Workshop - Presents information on how your house works as a system, basic building science, energy saving measures and the MassSAVE no-cost home energy assessment program and current incentives to making home energy upgrades easy and affordable. It will be followed by time for question and answer. The workshop is funded by the Mass Municipal Association and presented by Chuck Miller, Program Manager/ Trainer, from the Center for Ecological Technology.
Everything You Always Wondered About Recycling - How do I recycle fluorescent light bulbs, do the contents of my bin really get recycled (yes!), what are recyclables made into, do I have to remove windows from envelopes, and what's this about pizza boxes being recyclable? Learn how to save money and energy by reducing, reusing, recycling and composting. Led by Amy Donovan, Program Director, Franklin County Solid Waste Management District
